The beginning

Our love was like hitting Ybor City after a work function
Chanelle and Ted met in September of 2017, when they worked at the University of Tampa. For years, they formed an immediate close friendship. It was known around their shared workplace that if you couldn’t find one of them, it was because they were in the other’s office. In the Spring of 2019, their timing aligned and that friendship bloomed into a romance.
They found common ground in their shared delights of a good party, fine food, each other’s quirky sense of humor, and chisme.
Chanelle kept Ted on the ground with her more concrete approach to life, and Ted made sure to keep that walk light-hearted.
Ted spent his life trying to be a poet, and Chanelle was born a work of art; some things just fit together, and sometimes people follow suit.
And the rest is history
In the Fall of 2019, we rented our first apartment together in Davis Islands, a tiny one bedroom layout that had the best shops and restaurants within walking distance.
In the Spring of 2021, we moved to Gainesville together, where we each experienced the most growth in character in a sleepy college town.
We got engaged in the Spring of 2023 in Boston, to celebrate our 4th anniversary, which falls on 3.14 - Pi Day, our forever number for our forever love.
In the Fall of 2023, we purchased our first house together, back in Tampa.
And in 2025, we will share our vows to each other in front of our loved ones, even though we’ve practically been wed for years.
